This seems to be the most frequent question I get as a real estate agent these days. How does the sub-prime mortgage mess affect you and is it affecting this area like it seems to in the big cities or is that just news they can broadcast on the TV? Is another, both of these questions are directly related to what the media is promoting as the economic big news story lately. However, I saw our President announce on the TV that there has been legislation signed that will correct this problem for homeowners and mortgage companies alike. What will they do now, those poor newspeople may be out of a job if they can't find something else to worry their viewers about. Land and houses are just as needed and valuable today as they were two years ago when this whole media feeding frenzy began at the cost of a lot of people who make their living from providing services to the housing industry. Hopefully they will leave it alone and get on with their next doom and gloom project, the lead in the head of Sponge Bob or something that can scare the daylights out of half a America next year.
